Kula Vyema Centre

Overview

This study, contracted to Kula Vyema Centre by IFPRI, serves as a baseline study for two global research projects; the One CGIAR initiative “Harnessing Digital Technologies for Timely Decision-Making across Food, Water, and Land Systems” and the “Gender, Climate Change and Nutrition Integration Initiative”. The two  projects are researching pathways for digital innovations to stimulate the inclusive and sustainable transformation of food, land, and water systems; and enhance understanding between climate, gender and nutrition. A total of 1,000 households were be interviewed in Kitui County using in-person interviews. KVC worked with IFPRI to obtain local ethical approval for the survey, finalize the questionnaires including programming for CAPI, translating to Kiswahili, sampling, data collection and data management.
