This study, contracted to the Kula Vyema Centre by CIRAD (French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development) under the UrbanFOSC project, has the objective of analyzing the structure and vulnerability of the Nakuru food system, thereby providing insights into its resilience. The analysis helps reveal the food and nutrition security challenges of the Nakuru city region, show to what extent its food system is territorialized (anchored within the territory of Nakuru or otherwise), as well as assess the sources of vulnerability and the resilience of this food system in the face of climate change. The study is based on statistical analyses of national- and county-level secondary data, as well as a literature review.
